This method of manufacture enables detail design that permits simpler bearings and boom end fitting to be used. Designed to fit 14 mm carbon tube and to rotate concentrically around the mast axis this item is ideal for use on the SAILSetc Marblehead and Ten Rater. Use item 12c for flat decked boats. The boom end is an injection moulded glass filled plastic piece into which the 14 mm diameter boom is a push fit. If necessary to prevent the boom from rotating under load it can be locked in place using a small self-tapping screw.
